B I O G R A P H Y

No one but Bookman knows of his distant past. The only thing known about him is his name and even that isn't in any database, leading anyone to believe that's not truly his real name. Naturally, living off the grid as he does, he has lived in the Abyss and worked in the library in Terra as long as most people can remember. There has been many times when he's provided helpful information to others for a small fee but he doesn't advertise for this, believing that if people need information, they'll come to the library to find it anyways.

The circumstances as to why or how Bookman came across Rabi as a baby is unknown as well. He raised him dutifully and gave the boy a fighting chance in a dangerous place. Though Rabi was hardly a well-behaved child, he did his best to discipline him and teach him how to survive in the large city.

Then came the time when Rabi decided to become a dealer in the black market. Bookman was against this, knowing that it would simply put a larger target on him in the Abyss and with those higher up in Elysium. None of this deterred his young charge who persisted despite Bookman's insistence that he simply dedicate himself to learning and gathering information. From this alone, one could surmise that Bookman merely picked Rabi up to be his successor.

He still works at the library in Terra and gives information out for a small fee when asked. Much to his annoyance, he has become almost a secondary business for Rabi, giving out his information when the boy asks for it. Money is still money, after all.
